Playworks is a long established local nursery with an excellent reputation.
We provide funded Early Learning Childcare for children 2 to 5 years of age.
Our caring staff are all highly qualified and very experienced.
The wellbeing and all round development of children is our passion.
We believe that children learn best through high quality play, fun experiences and new opportunities.
We encourage children to make choices and follow their own interests while playing with friends and having fun,
supported by caring, enthusiastic and motivated adults.
Playworks is a small community nursery. We are friendly and considerate of parental and family needs, encouraging parents to become involved in the day to day life and operation of the nursery.
Playworks nursery staff have an accumulated experience of 113 years and our main aim is to equip every child with happiness, confidence and self-worth by delivering the highest quality care and nurture.

We operate during term times with 2 sessions per day, Morning and Afternoon, Monday to Friday. We also offer back to back sessions where children can bring their own packed lunch.
We offer local government funded sessions of Early Learning and Childcare. Extra sessions can be purchased for £13.50 a session.
All our staff are registered with the Scottish Social Services Council.
The staff work well together as a long established team and are constantly adding to their experience and training.
The team at Playworks are passionate about play, we recognise free play as the best way for young children to learn.
We believe play should be fun, explorative, experimental and experiential.
The nursery is setup to include various learning play areas, both indoor and outdoor.
We often have students and volunteers working with us.

I absolutely love playworks. It’s a great little nursery, the staff are amazing and the children are all very friendly.
My little boy has attended playworks for almost a year now. He has a cmpa allergy which the staff are very understanding about and they provide him with some little dairy free snacks which is great.
He also suffers with seperation anxiety and again the staff have been absolutely brilliant at taking the time and having the patience to help him deal with this.
They have also been great at giving his dad and I some tips and advice on this as it's all new to us.
